Large group self catering accommodation in Exmoor

The Old Farmhouse is ideal for large group self catering accommodation. It has 5 bedrooms - 3 en-suite doubles, two of which have their own dressing room areas, and two twin rooms which share a fourth bathroom. One of the en-suite doubles is on the ground floor with level access.

It has extensive Reception Rooms: The elegant and light living room with comfortable sofas and chairs around a log burning wood stove with large glass doors to the almost Mediterranean garden/sun room; the games room with a pool table and table football; a separate Television room with a good desk as well as a comfortable sofa and chairs; a formal dining room conveniently connected to the kitchen for candle-lit evenings; and the 'centre of the house' - a large eat-in Kitchen (with AGA- style stove, electric oven and hob, microwave, dish-washer and fridge/freezer) with a breakfast table; the utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer.

A feature of the modernisation - completed in 2011 - has been the provision of very spacious and light rooms, with delightful family furniture, pictures, books, games and other features expected in a family house. The Old Farmhouse is regularly used by members of the owning family as well as being available for other holiday-makers. Because this has been a modernisation of an old building, many of the rooms are at different levels with one or more steps between rooms.

The Old Farmhouse has its own driveway with ample private parking and has extensive private lawns leading directly into a delightful small wood giving protection from the prevailing wind. There is also a terrace suitable for outdoor drinking or dining, BBQ, etc.

Also at Honeymead - but not visible from the terrace or garden of the Old Farmhouse - are the family's own house and several smaller houses formerly for farm-workers and now lived in by local families. There is a tennis court available for use by all at Honeymead including visitors to the Farmhouse. Please bring your own rackets, balls and proper shoes.

Dogs are welcomed, but are expected to be clean when inside the Old Farmhouse, not left alone there, and kept off the furniture.

There is free wi-fi based in the TV room/study but service is available in most rooms.
